This was such a good read！ I loved the way this author told the story， the timing and some of her characters。 The plot moved along nicely until the last 100 pages。。。 It felt like the deadline was close and the writer was in a rush to finnish the story instead of dealing with the plotholes and letting everything flow nicely。 It would have been another 5* read for me this year if not。。。。Will be picking up book 2 that comes out in October if I am not mistaken。

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would and certain plot points were VERY interesting but I felt like this is maybe a little too romance heavy？ Even though I’ve come to realize I actually enjoy romance a lot。 I found this romance to be a little underdeveloped？ The ending to this was very good and has me considering getting the next book， I’ll have to see what the reviews are like。

Maybe the witch thing is not my cup of tea。 Halfway reading it， I still don’t understand the real plot of the story。 Very confusing。 I had a least interest with the lead female character。 Am not sure whether to continue reading the second book。

There were a lot of good things in this book。 The world-building， for one， was absolutely wonderful， and I really enjoyed seeing what the author did with the seven deadly sins！ It's definitely one of the strong points of the novel。 Another great thing is， of course， the gorgeous morally grey evil guy。 Loved him。However， this book really didn't stick with me。 Once again for this author， I feel like the characters aren't quite。。。 right？ Their personalities， wants and needs aren't convincingly writ There were a lot of good things in this book。 The world-building， for one， was absolutely wonderful， and I really enjoyed seeing what the author did with the seven deadly sins！ It's definitely one of the strong points of the novel。 Another great thing is， of course， the gorgeous morally grey evil guy。 Loved him。However， this book really didn't stick with me。 Once again for this author， I feel like the characters aren't quite。。。 right？ Their personalities， wants and needs aren't convincingly written for me。 The relationships， too， are far from perfect。 I just cannot feel the chemistry between Wrath and Emilia。 It just doesn't work for me and everything feels forced。But it was a pretty nice read overall。 Just definitely not one of my favourites， and despite a promising ending， I definitely don't feel like reading the sequel any time soon。 。。。more

Was I instantly hooked with this book？ Yep！Did it incorporate everything I love in a story （magic， broody love interests & a smidge of darkness）？ Also， yep！ Do I need the next book， like， yesterday？！ HUGE YEP。Seriously， this was great。 I loved the moody， dark elements to it and the writing was good。Did the plot always come together and make total sense？ Nope。 But do I care？ Also， nope， because Wrath is hot as heck。 Duh！

“Your heart will conquer darkness。 Trust in that。 “Magic + witches + family + murder mystery + Italian food + gothic setting + demons make Kingdom of the Wicked a story that grabs you and you have to keep reading。 I loved the setting and the characters - the seven deadly sins represented in the seven princes of hell made for a great story。 I can’t wait to see what happens next… the cliffhanger of forbidden love， revenge and good vs evil make me hungry for book 2。

3。5It wasn’t as exciting as I thought nor do I see all the excitement for Wrath。 I did expect more but hopefully the second book will deliver。 At times I preferred reading about Italian food more。
